Hold the Chaos.
Come back to Yourself.
When stress hits, it’s normal to snap, disassociate, or have the urge to ‘run away’ or ‘give in’. This is the body saying, “I need this moment to change”.
Here are some quick practices to support you to regulate “in the moment” in those chaos vortex’s.
‘Freeze’ or ‘Fawn’ Stress Response. Up regulate and shake it out for 5 mins.
- also great for finishing a stress response.
‘Fight’ Stress Response. Down regulate with gentle movement and breath for 12 minutes.
- short on time? Choose the movement OR the breath.
‘Flight’ Stress Response. Reconnect with yourself with guided breath work for 2 mins.
- perfect for the bathroom escape.
Not sure? Start here with an 8 mins guided meditation to check in.
- how am I? So I know how to support myself.

The more you take care of yourself, the bigger your ‘window of tolerance’ becomes - giving you more space to respond rather than react.
Practice taking care of yourself before the chaos, start with 2-5mins a day.
Remember: Regulating doesn’t mean being calm all the time, it means noticing when your body is in a stress response, and then supporting yourself to feel safe again.
